1. Confirm your pump is an A-Series model before selecting the Needle-free IV administration sets (A-Series)
2. Open packaging aseptically. Inspect tubing, drip chamber, and injection site(s).
3. Close the roller clamp completely before spiking the fluid bag.
4. Insert the spike firmly into the bag port. Squeeze and release the drip chamber to fill it ~halfway.
5. Open the roller clamp slowly to prime the tubing — allow fluid to fill to the distal end, displacing all air.
6. Close the roller clamp and connect the male Luer end to the patient's catheter or extension set.
7. Load the tubing into the pump per the manufacturer's instructions for your A-Series device.
8. Program the pump rate and start infusion.
9. Replace the set per your facility's IV line change policy."
