1. Open SM-026 packaging aseptically immediately before use.
2. Inspect tubing and access site for damage — do not use if compromised.
3. Connect one arm of the T-connector to your IV catheter hub.
4. Connect the remaining arm(s) to your primary administration set and/or secondary line.
   • Luer Lock: thread and quarter-turn to lock.
5. Prime the T-connector by flushing with saline before initiating therapy.
6. Secure tubing to minimize movement at the catheter site.
7. Access the needle-free port with a compatible needleless syringe as needed.
8. Replace per your facility's IV set change interval.
