How To

Draw whole blood from the dog and transfer to the included EDTA tube. Alternatively, prepare plasma or serum via centrifugation.

Open the sealed foil pouch and place the test cassette on a flat, clean surface. Use the kit within 10 minutes of opening.

Add 1 drop (20 µL) of whole blood or plasma to each sample well. Immediately follow with 4 drops (100 µL) of assay buffer per well.

Allow the test to develop for 5 to 10 minutes. Do not interpret results after 10 minutes.

Positive: Both a control line (C) and a test line (T) appear. Negative: Only the control line (C) is visible. Invalid: No control line appears—repeat test with a new device.
Note: Store kits between 2–30°C and avoid freezing or direct sunlight. If chilled, let them sit at room temperature for 15–30 minutes before use; stable for 24 months.
FAQ
4DxPro™ is a rapid diagnostic test specifically designed to detect the presence of four major vector-borne pathogens including Canine heartworm (CHW) (Dirofilaria immitis) antigen, Borrelia burgdorferi (Lyme) antibody, Ehrlichia canis (E. canis) antibody, and Anaplasma (ANA) antibody. It utilizes a lateral flow format offering veterinarians a fast, reliable, and cost-effective point-of-care diagnostic tool.
The test can use whole blood, serum, or plasma.
The test delivers results within 5 to 10 minutes, allowing for prompt decision-making in clinical settings.
- Sensitivity (E. canis): 94% ; Specificity (E. canis): 97%
- Sensitivity (Lyme): 95% ; Specificity (Lyme): 97%
- Sensitivity (ANA): 95% ; Specificity (ANA): 99%
- Sensitivity (CHW): 99% ; Specificity (CHW): 100%
No specialized equipment is needed. The test is a simple, one-step procedure that can be conducted directly in the clinic without additional tools. However, if you choose to use serum or plasma a centrifuge will be needed.
