The cPL Pro^™ Rapid Test from the KVP Saf-T-Test Collection is a reliable cPL test designed specifically for the rapid, qualitative detection of canine pancreas-specific lipase (cPL) in whole blood. This cPL blood test uses sandwich lateral flow immunochromatography to provide results in just 5-10 minutes - ideal for the in-clinic assessment of dogs suspected of pancreatitis.

This cPL test dog kit includes a lateral flow cassette with a testing window marked with T1, T2, and C lines. In dogs with pancreatitis, the T2 line appears darker than the T1 line, confirming elevated cPL levels. The test correlates strongly with reference laboratory methods, making it a practical in-house alternative to a snap cPL or cPL snap test.

1. Prepare the Sample
Collect a blood sample from the dog using the included EDTA tube and centrifuge.

2. Open the Test Kit
Just before testing, remove the test device from the foil pouch. Use immediately—do not leave it exposed to air.

3. Add the Sample
Using the dropper provided, add 1 drop of plasma or serum to the buffer and mix thoroughly.

4. Add to Cassette
Add 4 drops of the buffer solution and sample mix to the test well.

5. Wait for Reaction

6. Interpret Results
Positive (Pancreatitis Likely): T2 line is darker than T1 line. Negative: T1 line visible and T2 line faint or absent. Invalid: No control (C) line appears—repeat with a new test.
