Using a set properly calibrated to your pump is not just good practice; it's patient safety. Mis-matched sets and pumps are one of the most common causes of IV fluid overdose in veterinary patients, particularly small dogs and cats.

The 60 DPM micro-drip chamber on this set makes it ideal for precise, slow-rate infusions — exactly what you need for CRI protocols, small patients, or any case where delivering too much fluid too fast would be dangerous.

At 70", the tubing gives you plenty of reach between the fluid bag and the patient. The 1 needle-free injection site let your team administer medications and flush lines without disconnecting or introducing needles into the line.

1. Confirm your pump is an A-Series model before selecting the Needle-free IV administration set.
2. Open packaging aseptically. Inspect tubing, drip chamber, and injection site(s).
3. Close the roller clamp completely before spiking the fluid bag.
4. Insert the spike firmly into the bag port. Squeeze and release the drip chamber to fill it ~halfway.
5. Open the roller clamp slowly to prime the tubing — allow fluid to fill to the distal end, displacing all air.
6. Close the roller clamp and connect the male Luer end to the patient's catheter or extension set.
7. Load the tubing into the pump per the manufacturer's instructions for your A-Series device.
8. Program the pump rate and start infusion.
9. Replace the set per your facility's IV line change policy.
