Features & Benefits

SensiSorb is a high-performance CO₂ absorbent soda lime specifically designed for veterinary anesthesia applications. It efficiently removes carbon dioxide from rebreathing systems, helping maintain stable anesthesia and patient safety during surgical and diagnostic procedures.

Formulated for consistent performance, SensiSorb features optimized granule size, high moisture content, and low dust output—making it ideal for clinical environments. A built-in color change indicator provides a clear visual signal for exhaustion, helping veterinary teams replace absorbent at the appropriate time and prevent bypass.

    Key Benefits for Veterinary Professionals:
  • Designed for use in CO₂ absorber anesthesia circuits and rebreathing systems
  • Supports safe and effective patient management by efficiently neutralizing carbon dioxide
  • Uniform, low-dust granules reduce the risk of inhalable particles and maintain equipment cleanliness
  • Color indicator clearly shows when absorbent needs replacement with a permanent color change
  • Compatible with most veterinary anesthesia machines that use soda lime CO₂ absorbers

SensiSorb is the reliable choice for veterinary practices that require clean, effective, and easy-to-monitor CO₂ absorbents for anesthesia. Suitable for small animal, large animal, and specialty surgical settings.

How To

1. Prepare the Canister
Ensure the anesthesia machine is turned off and disconnected from the patient. Remove the used soda lime absorbent from the CO₂ canister, wearing gloves to avoid skin contact with dust.

2. Inspect the Canister
Check for any residual dust or debris and clean the canister if needed. Make sure all seals, gaskets, and filters are intact to prevent leaks or bypass.

3. Fill with SensiSorb
Pour SensiSorb granules evenly into the canister. Avoid overpacking; the granules should be firm but not compressed to ensure optimal gas flow.

4. Monitor During Use
Observe the built-in color change indicator on the granules. A complete color shift (as defined by your practice’s standard) signals that the absorbent is exhausted and must be replaced.

5. Replace When Needed
Replace SensiSorb when: the color indicator shows full exhaustion, increased inspired CO₂ levels are detected, absorbent feels dry or hard.

6. Storage & Safety
Store in a tightly sealed container in a cool, dry place. Do not return used granules to the storage container. Dispose of spent absorbent according to local regulations.

FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

SensiSorb features a built-in color change indicator that provides a clear visual signal for exhaustion. A complete color shift to pinkish-purple indicates that the absorbent is exhausted and must be replaced. Unlike others on the market, this one permanently stays purple when exhausted and does not return to its white color.

    Replace SensiSorb when:
  • The color indicator shows full exhaustion.
  • Increased inspired CO₂ levels are detected.
  • The absorbent feels dry or hard.

SensiSorb is compatible with most veterinary anesthesia machines that use soda lime CO₂ absorbers. Its uniform, low-dust granules reduce the risk of inhaled particles and maintain equipment cleanliness.

Store SensiSorb in a tightly sealed container in a cool, dry place. Do not return used granules to the storage container. Dispose of spent absorbent according to local regulations
